A good number of local historians and friends attended the Eildon Centre last Thursday evening (20th) to enjoy some home-made food, drinks, a quiz and singing and guitar-playing of John 'Humie' Elliot. The lady committee members provided a delicious meal which was thoroughly enjoyed, as was the picture gallery provided by Trevor Swan, the quiz on American Presidents, Seas of the World and Local History organised by Will Murray and Trevor Swan and five songs sung by the talented, but infinitely modest, wee 'Humie'. Lady President Eleanor Moffat thanked everyone for attending, the foregoing for their time and effort and Donald and Marie Moffat for the use of the Eildon Centre. As forecast, the company departed full of Christmas spirit.
