Row 7 – 8 – Kydd/Scott

Erected by DAVID KYDD in memory of THOMAS SCOTT his grandfather who died 13th April 1911 aged 94 years. Also of his beloved wife JEAN FORBES who died at Marley Knowe 13th September 1923 aged 43 years. Also MARGARET daughter of the above THOMAS SCOTT who died 6th April 1933 aged 82 years. And his mother ELIZABETH KYDD who died 9th April 1937 aged 84 years. And the said DAVID KYDD who died at Amble 30th April 1935 aged 56 years.

 Erected by JAMES DAVIDSON in affectionate remembrance of JAMES his son who died at Coldstream 17th October 1886 aged 44 years. Also the above JAMES DAVIDSON who died at Birgham 21st December 1891 aged 82 years. Also CATHERINE MILLS his wife who died 23rd December 1891 aged 81 years. Also JAMES ELLIOT his son in law who died at Wilton Hill Hawick 13th December 1911 aged 75 years. Also MARGARET DAVIDSON wife of the above JAMES ELLIOT who died 17th August 1925 aged 85 years. ‘Waiting for the coming of the hour’

Also JOSEPH their son killed in Palestine 28th November 1917 aged 26.( Inscribed at the side of the base with ‘J.Bruce, Kelso', presumably the stone mason).
