Seaman Peter Craig

Seaman Peter Craig, Royal Naval Patrol Service. He died on Service, aged 28, on 20th December 1941. He had been born in Eyemouth and was the son of Peter and Catherine Craig of 11 Glebe Crescent, Eyemouth and is buried in Eyemouth Kirkyard. His service had been at H.M.S. “Fortitude” which was a Shore Establishment at Ardrossan, Ayrshire. He had been a grocer’s assistant before joining the Royal Navy. He was killed in a road traffic accident in Saltcoats whilst awaiting a bus to take him back to the Base.
