Private William Heslop

Private William Heslop, 11th Battalion, Royal Scots. He was killed in action in France on 15th March 1917 and is buried in Fauberg D'Amiens Cemetery, Arras, France. He was the son of Rachel and the late Thomas Heslop of " The Thatch " public house and before enlisting he had been employed as a rural postman. During the Battle of the Somme he had been wounded in August 1916. His brother Thomas also fell ( see above ).
