Probably Private Andrew Anderson, 2nd/4th ( Border) Battalion, King’s Own Scottish Borderers. He died from meningitis in Galashiels, aged 20 on 6th November 1914 and is buried in Lauder Cemetery. He had been born in Gordon, Berwickshire and was the son of Robert and Mary Logan Shankly Anderson of Threepwood, Lauder. Before enlisting he had been employed as a shepherd.
