Private Andrew Lindores, 1st/4th ( Border ) Battalion, Kings Own Scottish Borderers. He died at Gallipoli on 22nd June 1915, aged 26, from wounds received by the bursting of a shell. He had been born in Earlston was the son of Alexander and Janet Lindores of Crossflats, St. Boswells and Corsbie, Earlston and is buried in Lancashire Landing Cemetery, Gallipoli, Turkey. His Headstone is inscribed ” Gone But Not Forgotten”. The photos show Borderers at Gallipoli.
