Private Thomas Dickson

Private Thomas Dickson, 5th ( Service ) Battalion, Cameron Highlanders. He died from wounds, aged 21, whilst a Prisoner of War in France on 13th July 1918 and is buried in Vendresse British Cemetery, Aisne, France. He had been born in Jedburgh and was the son of John and Margaret Wood of Kerchesters, Sprouston. He had originally enlisted in the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders before being transferred to the Camerons in France. He had died in a German Military Hospital in Bucy-Les-Cerny and had been buried in a German Cemetery before being re-interred in Vendresse after the War.
