Private William Dormer

Private William Chessum Dormer, 7th ( Service ) Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. He was killed in action in France on 28th July 1918, aged 37 and is buried in Harponville Communal Cemetery Extension, Harponville, France. He was the second son of George and Mary Ann Dormer of Berwick-upon-Tweed and the husband of Margueritta Dormer of 12 St Helen’s Terrace, Spittal. His Headstone is inscribed ” Death Divides But Memory Clings”.
