Corporal Joseph Elliott, 1st Coy., Australian Tunnelling Corps. He died in Belgium on 13th June 1917 and is buried in Railway Dugouts Burial Ground ( Transport Farm ), Ypres, Flanders, Belgium. His Company had worked on the tunnels in the Hill 60 sector and in preparing the mines which were blown at Messines on 7th June 1917, destroying the German positions there and thus facilitating the capture of Messines Ridge.
