Private George Skelly. 707th Coy., Army Service Corps. He died of malarial fever on Active Service on 22nd July 1917, aged 37, during the Salonica campaign and is buried in Mikra British Cemetery, Kalamaria, Thessalonika, Greece. He was the husband of Mary Skelly of Saltpanhoe, Scremerston. Before the War he had been employed as a gardener and left a widow and 5 children.
