Private James Frizzel

Private James Frizzel, 8th ( Service ) Battalion, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders. He was killed in an accident on Active Service in Tunisia on 10 March 1943, aged 24. He had been born in Channelkirk and was the son of James and Mary A. Frizzel of The Girrick,  Nenthorn and is buried in Mejez-El-Bab War Cemetery, Tunisia. His Headstone is inscribed ” You Must Hear My Voice No More, My Father Calls Me Home “. He had been a farm worker before enlisting in June 1939 and he had served in France in 1940 before being evacuated from Le Havre.
