Leading Aircraftman Thomas Elliot

Leading Aircraftman Thomas Grieve Elliot, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. He died on Service in Ceylon in a bathing accident at R.A.F. Koggala on 17th November 1945, aged 27 and is buried in Colombo ( Liveramentu ) Cemetery, Colombo, Ceylon. He had been born in Kirton, Roxburghshire and was the son of Thomas and Euphemia Elliot of  Mowhaugh, Yetholm, Roxburghshire. ( The Memorial has his rank as Corporal ). ” Koggala” was a seaplane base.
