Corporal James Muir Hamilton, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. He died on Service in hospital in India after an accident on 8th January 1946, aged 24. He had been born in Crailing and was the son of James and Nellie Muir Hamilton of Danderhall, Mertoun and is buried in Calcutta ( Bhowanipore ) Cemetery, Calcutta. His Headstone is inscribed ” Deep In Our Hearts Your Memory Is Kept We Smile With The World But Never Forget”.
