Private William Scott

Private William McFarlane Scott, 1st Battalion, Black Watch. He was killed by shellfire in France on 16th June 1915, aged 24. He was the son of Mary and the late Daniel Scott of 10, Campbell’s Buildings, Dunkeld Road, Perth and is commemorated on the Le Touret Memorial, Pas de Calais, France. At that time the Battalion were holding front line trenches in the Cuinchy sector and lost 1 Officer and 6 Other Ranks through shellfire.
