Corporal Robert Dodds

Corporal Robert Dodds, 80th Field Company, Royal Engineers. He was killed by a sniper in France on 21st December 1915, aged 28 years. He was the son of James and Margaret Dodds of Leitholm and is buried in Dartmoor Cemetery Becordel-Becourt. France. He was born at Fogorig, Berwickshire and lived with his father who was a ploughman at Mersington. When he enlisted he had been living in Leitholm aqnd working as a joiner. He was a keen member of the Leitholm Kirk choir.
