Private Andrew Anderson

Private Andrew Anderson, 2nd/4th Battalion, Kings Own Scottish Borderers. He died in hospital on 6th November 1914, aged 20, and is buried in Lauder Churchyard. He had been born in Gordon and was the son of Robert and Mary Logan Shankly Anderson of Threepwood, Lauder. Before enlisting he had been employed as a shepherd and he died in Galashiels from meningitis. His brother Robert also died during the War – see below.
