Sergeant Thomas Biggar M.M.

Sergeant Thomas Biggar, M.M., 12th ( Service ) Battalion, Royal Scots. He was killed in action in France on 16th July 1918, aged 21. He had been born in Kelso and was the son of Robert and Jane Biggar of Heiton, Kelso and is buried in Le Peuplier Military Cemetery, Caestres, France.  He had been awarded the Military Medal for gallantry in the field in 1917. His Headstone is inscribed “Sadly Missed Never Shall Be Forgotten “.
