Gunner John Hogarth

Gunner John Cairns Hogarth, 132nd ( The Glamorgan Yeomanry ) Field Regiment, Royal Artillery. He was killed in action in Tunisia on 3rd December 1942, aged 25. He was the son of Andrew and Mary Hogarth of Kelso and is commemorated on the Medejez-El-Bab Memorial, Tunisia. The field artillery was equipped with the very versatile 25 pounder field gun which could be used against enemy infantry or armour.
