Private Andrew Dunn

Private Andrew Dunn 31st ( Alberta ) Battalion, Canadian Infantry. He was killed in action in France on 11th October 1918, aged 39, during the ” Advance to Victory”. He was the son of William and Jane Turnbull Dunn of The Elms, Kelso and is buried in Niagara Cemetery, Iwuy, nr. Cambrai. France. Before enlisting he had been employed as a book-keeper in Colorado Springs, U.S.A. before enlisting in Toronto. The photographs and illustrations show Allied troops advancing against the retreating German army during the final 100 days of the War.
