Private Adam Dumma

Private Adam Dumma, 7th/8th ( Service ) Battalion, Kings Own Scottish Borderers. He was killed in Flanders on 29th July 1917 aged 24. He was the son of Mrs Dumma of Yetholm Mains, Kelso and is commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, Flanders, Belgium. On that date the Battalion was moving up to its jump off trenches in preparation for the opening of the Third Battle of Ypres and 15 casualties were sustained by random enemy shelling.
