Sapper Joseph Fair, 10th Railway Company, Royal Engineers. He died of wounds in Greece on 18th December 1918 aged 37. He was the son of Margaret and the late George Fair of Cherry Tree Cottage, Grantshouse and is buried in Mikra British Cemetery, Kalamaria, Greece. ( This was on the Salonika front ). His Headstone is inscribed ” He Was One Of The Best”.
