Private James Patterson

Private James B. Patterson, 2nd Battalion, Durham Light Infantry. He was killed in action in France on 18th September 1918, aged 18 during the ” Advance to Victory”. He was the son of John and Jane Patterson of ” North View ” Holy Island, Beal and is buried in Chapelle British Cemetery, Holnon, Aisne, France where his Headstone is inscribed ” Death Divides But Memory Clings North view, Holy Island “.  The photos show Allied troops advancing during the final 100 days of the War.
