Lance Corporal Andrew Kellett

Lance Corporal Andrew McN. Kellett, 7th ( Service ) Battalion, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders. He was killed in Normandy in France on 17th August 1944, aged 20. He was the son of David and Margaret Kellett of Hawick.and is buried in Banneville-La-Campagne Cemetery France where his Headstone is inscribed ” In Memory Of Our Dear Son. He Died That We might Live. Mum And Dad”. Before enlisting he had been employed at West Foulden farm. The Battalion was part of the 154th Brigade in the 51st ( Highland ) Division.
