Private George Hutchison, 1st Battalion, Seaforth Highlanders. He died of fever in Mesopotamia on 22nd May 1916 aged 26. He was the son of William Hutchison of Newlands, Belford and is buried in Amara War Cemetery, Iraq. 1st Battalion was part of the 7th Indian Division in the Mesopotamian Expeditionary Force having arrived from France in December 1915. Before enlisting he had worked as a farmhand for Mr Allan of Crookham Westfield, Cornhill-on-Tweed.
