Leading Aircraftman James Craig

Leading Aircraftman James Craig, Royal Air Force. He died on Active Service in Egypt, aged 19, on the 29th January 1952. He had been born in Eyemouth and was the son of Mr and Mrs James Craig of Church Street, Eyemouth. He had worked in his father’s bakery in Eyemouthbefore being called up for his National Service. He served in Egypt with the R.A.F. Regiment at R.A.F. Fayid and was killed in a traffic accident near Ismailia. He is buried in Fayid Military Cemetery, Egypt.
