Able Seaman George Craig, Merchant Navy. He died on Service, aged 59, on the 13th May 1941. He had been born in Coldingham and was the son of the late John and Isabella Craig formerly of Coldingham. He had served his apprenticeship as a baker in Coldingham but had been a fisherman of 16 High Street, Eyemouth when he accidentally drowned in Kirkwall harbour whilst serving as a ship’s cook. His burial place is unknown.
