Seaman George Cormack

Seaman George Craig Cormack, Royal Naval Reserve, T.S. He died in hospital from meningitis on the 14th October 1916, aged 28. He had been born in Banff and was the son of William and Mary Cormack of 38 Church Street, Eyemouth and is buried in Eyemouth Cemetery. He had enlisted in May 1916 but was discharged in October from H.M.S. “Gunner”, Granton Naval Base as ” no longer required”. He died nine days later in the Manderston Military Hospital in Coldingham, Berwickshire.
