Second Hand Daniel Stott, Royal Naval Reserve. He served aboard H.M.S. “Victory” and H. M. Drifter ” Sunbeam ” and died on Service in Haslar Royal Naval Hospital from pneumonia on 11th September 1918, aged 22. He had been born in Eyemouth and was the son of James Stott, fisherman of Mason’s Wynd, Eyemouth. He had enlisted in April 1915 and served for three years before transferring to ” Victory” the shore base at Portsmouth. He was a keen member of St Ebba’s Masonic Lodge and was buried with full masonic honours in Eyemouth Kirkyard.
