Leading Deck Hand Alexander Lough

Leading Deck Hand Alexander Lough, Royal Naval Reserve. He was lost on Active Service aboard H.M. Drifter “Piscatorial 11” on 28th December 1917, aged 25 and is commemorated on the Chatham Memorial. ( For fuller details of the loss see under entry for James Collin ). He had been born in Eyemouth and was the son of Alexander and Annie Lough of Houndlaw Park, Eyemouth. He had been employed as a fisherman when he enlisted in May 1916.
