Private William Quinn

Private William Quinn, 2nd King Edwards Horse. He was killed in action in Belgium on 27th November 1915 aged 27. He had been born in Cranshaws and was the son of Edward and Margaret Quinn of Whitelaw, Edrom and is commemorated on the Ploegsteert  Memorial  Belgium. He was the brother of Adam Quinn above who had been killed in Gallipoli on 12th July. Before the war he had been in Canada and had come over with the Canadian Contingent. He is also commemorated on the Whitsome War Memorial.
