Lance Corporal Charles Kerse, Army Veterinary Corps, 28th Division. He died on Active Service from pneumonia in France, aged 24, on the18th March 1915 and is buried in Bailleul Communal Cemetery, France. He died in a Casualty Clearing Station in Bailleul. He had been born in Eccles and was the son of Charles and the late Helen Kerse of Birgham and Eccles.
