Private John Brison

Private John Brison, 26th ( 3rd Tyneside Irish ) Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers . He died in France on 30th April 1917 of wounds received in action during the Battle of Arras. He was the son of Mr J.Brison of Unthank Square, Berwick-upon-Tweed and is buried in Duisans British Cemetery, Etrun, France. He was wounded in the Battalion attack on the notorious Chemical Works on the 28th which cost the Battalion 3 Officers and 25 Other Ranks killed with 110 Other Ranks wounded and 11 missing. He had already been wounded on the Somme in July 1916. The photos show troops during the Battle.
