Private Thomas Lumsden, 11th ( Service ) Battalion, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders. He was killed in France, aged 23, on 13th December 1915 and is commemorated on the Loos Memorial, Dud Corner, Loos, France. He had been born in Glasgow and had enlisted in Duns. He was betrothed to Bridget Feeney of 29 South Street, Duns and he was working in Duns as an estate labourer when he enlisted in September 1914. He joined his Battalion in France in July 1915.
