Company Sergeant Major Henry Anderson

Company Sergeant Major Henry Anderson, Warrant Officer Class 11, 8th Battalion, Kings Own Scottish Borderers. He died on Active Service on the 9th October 1941, aged 41 and is buried in Duns Cemetery. He had been born in Coldstream and had been brought up by his grand parents James and Catherine Anderson. He was the husband of Isabella Anderson of 39 Easter Street, Duns. After the Great War he had enlisted as a Regular in the Seaforth Highlanders and served for 13 years. After his discharge he worked as an electrician in Duns and swerved as a Territorial with the K.O.S.B.. At the time of his death from heart failure he was serving with the Home Defence Battalion on Orkney.
