Gunner Frederick Campbell

Gunner Frederick James Campbell, 21st Anti Tank Regiment ( Northumberland Hussars ) Royal Artillery. He was killed in action during the fighting in Normandy on 3rd August 1944 aged 35. He was the son of David and Christina Campbell and the husband of Christina Laurie Campbell of Kelso. He is buried in St. Charles De Percy War Cemetery, Normandy, France where his Headstone is inscribed ” He gave His Life For His Friends”.  The photos were taken during the Campaign.
