Private Alexander Mabon

Private Alexander Mabon 5th/6th ( Service ) Battalion, Cameronians ( Scottish Rifles ) He died at Home on 24th February 1919, aged 39, and is buried in Coldingham Priory Churchyard , Coldingham, Berwickshire. He was the son of Margaret and the late Thomas Mabon of Templehall, Coldingham and before enlisting he had been employed as a farm servant at Ladyrig, Roxburghshire. he had been wounded on the 3rd October 1918 during the “Advance to Victory” and had been evacuated to a hospital in Birmingham where he died four months later.
