Private Adam Veitch

Private Adam Veitch, 5th Battalion, Kings Own Scottish Borderers. He was killed in action in Germany on 4th April 1945, aged 27. He was the son of Adam and Helen Veitch and is buried in Becklingham War Cemetery, near Luneberg, North Germany. At that time the Battalion was attached to the 4th Armoured Brigade and were advancing rapidly through northern Germany after the retreating enemy. His Headstone is inscribed” It Is Not Only Today But Every Day In Silence We Remember”.
