Sergeant William Lindsay, 5th Dragoon Guards ( Princess Charlotte of Wales’s ). He was killed in Belgium on 13th May 1915 during the Second Battle of Ypres and is commemorated on the Menin Gate, Ypres, Flanders, Belgium. It was reported that he had been wounded in action and was killed by a sniper whilst he was making his way to the dressing station. The photograph shows a Dragoon in his pre War finery.
