Private Samuel Gradon Harvey, “B” Coy. 6th ( Service ) Battalion, Cameron Highlanders. He was killed in action in France on 22nd March 1918, aged 25 on the second day of the German March Offensive ( Operation Michael ). He was the son of Samuel and Jamesina Harvey of 4 Railway Street, Berwick and is buried in Fauberg D’Amiens Cemetery, Arras, France. His Headstone is inscribed ” Thy Will Be Done”. The photography shows Camerons keeping a sharp lookout for the advancing Germans.
