Private Robert Robison

Private Robert Adam Watson Robison, ” D ” Coy., 16th ( Service ) Battalion, Kings Royal Rifle Corps. He was killed in action in France on 15th July 1916, aged 22, during the Battle of the Somme. He was the son of Robert and Dorothy Robison of 3 Falloden Terrace, Tweedmouth and is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, Thiepval, Somme, France. The photographs show British troops on the Somme and the colour image shows a peaceful Somme landscape today.
