Lance Corporal Isaac Purves, 16th ( The Queens ) Lancers. He died of wounds in France on 8th June 1917, aged 38. He was the son of Isaac and Jane Purves of 58 Church Street, Berwick and is buried in Tincourt New British Cemetery, Tincourt, Somme, France. The photo shows Lancers in France in 1917.
