In loving memory of JOHN MATTHEW who died 17^th January 1916 aged 70 years.

Also AGNES HANN his wife who died 23^rd July 1905 aged 58 years.

Also JOHN their son who died 28^th December 1936 aged 64 years

Commentary

John Matthew was born Coldstream, a Carter of Coal and Lime and he lived at 8 New Road. His wife Agnes was also born in Coldstream.

When John Matthew was born on 2 March 1846, his father, Peter, was 37 and his mother, Patience, was 36. He had three sons and three daughters with Agnes Hann between 1867 and 1881. He died on 27 January 1916 at the age of 69.
