In loving memory of HARRIETT wife of JOHN KENNEDY died 18th March 1956 aged 71 years.
Also their children JAMES died 8th March 1913 aged 3 years 5 months, MARION died in infancy.
Also the said JOHN KENNEDY died 28th February 1963 aged 78 years.
Commentary
When John Kennedy was born on 7 July 1868 in Coldstream, Berwickshire, his father, Peter, was 23 and his mother, Janet, was 21. He had seven brothers and two sisters.
When Peter Samuel Kennedy was born in 1845 in Jedburgh, Roxburghshire, his father, William, was 47 and his mother, Margaret, was 50. He married Janet Gibson on 4 August 1864 in Coldstream, Berwickshire. They had ten children in 21 years. He died on 1 March 1920 at the age of 75, and was buried in Coldstream, Berwickshire.
