In memory of JANET THOMSON wife of GEORGE THOMSON late farmer of Mindrim who died in London 6th day of March 1862 aged 76 years. AGNES daughter of the above who died at Crooks 26th day of December 1817 aged 3 months. ALEXANDER their son who died at Bowmont Hill 28th day of  August 1841 aged 23 years. ELIZABETH their daughter wife of JAMES JOHNSTON who died in Jamaica on 7th day January 1854 aged 43 years. JAMES their eldest son who died at Mindrim 27th day of August 1863 aged 51 years.

Also of AGNES their 2nd daughter relict of JOHN MCDOUGAL late of Craigielaw who died in London on 28 May 1865 aged 46 years. GEORGE THOMSON who died at Mindrim 26 January 1867 aged 85 years. Also of ADAM the 2nd son of the above who died at Dryfe Dam House near Lockerbie on 29 July 1874 aged 60 years.

Commentary

Unfortunately this stone fell a few years ago but we managed to save all the parts and it is now laid flat next to the churchyard wall
