Sacred to the memory of ALEXANDER GRAHAM CLARKE Duns Road Coldstream who died 26 February 1888 aged 70 years

And ISABELLA CARMICHAEL his wife who died 29 January 1888 aged 67 years.

Also of their two children who died in infancy.

Commentary

Alexander Clarke was born in Coldstream and lived at 10 Market Place West Side. His occupation was a Robored Butcher. Wife Isabella was born in England. Not sure what Robored is.Another source indicates:  Alexander Graham Clarke was born in Coldstream and lived in 3 Market Square in 1861. His occupation was a Butcher employing 1 man. In 1871 he was living at 10 Market Place West Side. He was listed in particular
as a Robored Butcher. In 1881 they were living in 7 Duns Road. Wife Isabella is said to have been born in Coldstream, at odds with above.
