Sacred to the memory of JANE ANDRESON  NESBIT who died Feb 15th 1863

Commentary

Jane Anderson Nisbet was born, Jane Anderson in Saline, Fife in 1792- 1794. Her parents John Anderson and Marion Fotheringham appear to also be natives of Saline in Fife. She married Andrew Nisbet in Saline Fife in 1817. Andrew Nisbet died in 1843 and is interred in Auchtermuchty churchyard. His will has been sourced and 6 of the couple’s children are named.

They had 8 known children, 2 of which died in infancy. Only two were boys and one line from those died out in 1863. Current online family history activity has been found surrounding offshoots of the same family, but no contact has yet been made. There is no evidence of familial links to Coldstream to either her paternal, maternal or any of her descendants past or present. She died whilst living with her daughter’s family at

Milne Graden. Her son in law Henry Bardner, was also born in Fife, and the family had left Coldstream for North Yorkshire by the 1871 census.
