Erected by CHARLES HOPE in loving memory of JANE CANT his wife who died 29 October 1918 aged 58 years. Also the above CHARLES HOPE died 22nd June 1921 aged 60 years. Also ADAM (HOPE) their son died 9 February 1960 aged 67 years.  RIP.

Commentary

Charles Hope was born at Coldstream, he  lived at 15 Market Place and his occupation General Labourer. His father was an Agricultural Day labourer living at Kennetsideheads in 1871.
