In loving memory of HANNAH SWAN, beloved wife of THOMAS SWAN who died at Railway Gates, Cornhill on Tweed, 12th July 1897 aged 54 years.  Also of the above THOMAS SWAN who died 20th Feby. 1912 aged 68 years.  Also ISABELLA their daughter who died 14th May 1912 aged 33 years.Thy Will Be Done.

Commentary

Thomas and Hanna lived at the Green Gates Railway Cottage for over 30 years.  They had children in 1881 Hannah Swan 15, Margaret Swan 9,  Agnes Swan 6, Thomas Swan 4,  Isabella Swan 2,

Thomas was born in Donaldsons Lodge and Hannah was born in Scotland
